With a design and concept conceived by LuMu Studio, we are working with a local Australian manufacturer who share our cohesive outlook on small run, bespoke pieces and a mutual respect for each others work. We have created a line of organic but durable pieces to support local Australian designers, craftspeople and Australian small businesses.
The range aims to demonstrate great design and quality through the use of durable materials and quality testing. Each piece is handmade from Micro-Cement which is a hygienic, zero VOC and extremely durable product originally developed for commercial floor toppings, with a frame consisting of marine grade hardwood structural plywood. Finally, each piece is finished in micro-cement which has been developed in conjunction with high grade sealers to create a highly scratch resistant surface reaching a very high MPA (measure of compressive strength). The seal creates an impenetrable, durable Venetian Plaster surface that stand the test of time against common spills such as pasta sauce, red wine and oils.
All Moon tables are designed and made in separate pieces for simplicity in transportation.
